Job Summary

The primary responsibility of this position is to lead and manage the operational and commercial delivery of tax engagements within the Tax Practice Hub. The Manager plays a central role in ensuring scalable, consistent, and commercially sound execution, while supporting the International Business Leader in cross-border proposals and multinational client engagements. This role also involves mentoring team members and contributing to the strategic development of the practice—distinct from technical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the execution of complex tax engagements, ensuring delivery excellence across jurisdictions and service lines from lead to delivery.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, risk flags, and milestone tracking at the practice level.
  • Drive budgeting, billing, WIP control, and profitability analysis across assigned engagements.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration between technical teams, business development, operations, and client leads.
  • Support the International Business Leader in developing, reviewing, and delivering cross-border proposals.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives to enhance delivery frameworks, client onboarding, and engagement consistency.
  • Present regular engagement and delivery health reports to practice leadership.
  • Connect the dots across technical input, client context, and business objectives to independently develop and present clear, solution-oriented advice, taking full ownership of client presentations and discussions without relying solely on technical team members to front-end delivery or manage advisory conversations.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement.

Job / Person Specifications

Qualifications and Knowledge: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of professional services delivery models, especially in tax or consulting environments.
  • Working knowledge of project management tools and client engagement lifecycles
  • Familiarity with tax service offerings and core concepts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and project tracking tools (e.g., ClickUp, or equivalent)
    Understanding of budgeting, WIP, billing, and financial metrics in a professional services context
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential; proficiency in Arabic is a plus

Experience:

  • 6–8+ years of experience in managing tax or consulting engagements within a professional services environment.

  • Proven track record of managing teams, budgets, and client relationships effectively.
  • Experience in supporting practice development initiatives (e.g., process documentation, template creation, reporting dashboards) is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting cross-border clients and international proposal development.
