Job Purpose
As an Assistant Manager in Transfer Pricing, you will lead and manage client engagements, providing strategic guidance on Transfer Pricing and related tax matters. You will take ownership of projects, oversee deliverables, and ensure compliance with UAE regulations and international standards. This role involves managing client relationships, supervising team members, and contributing to business development initiatives. Expected to exercise sound judgment and manage projects proactively within established guidelines, while escalating key decisions for final approval.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and review functional and economic analyses, including conducting benchmarking studies. Drive functional interviews with key client stakeholders to gather critical data and ensure accuracy and quality of deliverables.
- Prepare and finalize Local Files, Master Files, and CbCR with accuracy and compliance, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience in Transfer Pricing for financial transactions, including intercompany loans, guarantees, and other financing arrangements, ensuring compliance with the arm’s length principle.
- Be well-versed in global Transfer Pricing litigation trends and nuances; draft audit defense submissions etc.
- Lead advisory projects on Transfer Pricing positions for clients in UAE/GCC across a diverse range of industries; ensure compliance with local and international tax laws.
- Manage project timelines and budgets, allocate resources, and monitor progress; escalate issues proactively.
- Ensure deliverables demonstrate factual integrity, technical excellence, and meet quality standards by coordinating reviews with senior management prior to final approval
- Mentor and supervise junior staff, review their work, and provide training.
- Stay ahead of regulatory changes and proactively update clients and internal teams.
- Contribute to business development, including proposals and client pitches.
Qualifications & Experience
- Professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA) mandatory; Master’s in Tax or Finance preferred.
- 4–5 years of experience in Transfer Pricing/tax advisory, preferably in Big 4 or top-tier consulting firms.
- Proven experience in managing Transfer Pricing projects and client portfolios.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
