Experience
A trained lawyer and seasoned in-house legal counsel, he has successfully managed a broad spectrum of legal matters and led legal teams in major organisations.
For the past 15 years, Narasimha has specialised in Financial Services regulations, offering strategic guidance on regulatory authorisations and advisory services. His work includes the development of compliance frameworks such as manuals, anti-money laundering (AML) procedures, risk management strategies, and compliance monitoring programs. He also conducts training sessions to build regulatory awareness and capability.
Narasimha provides expert advice on financial crime risk management, AML, and targeted financial sanctions (TFS) compliance. His support includes implementing robust controls, monitoring systems, and managing regulatory responses. His experience also spans Data Protection compliance, Common Reporting Standards (CRS), and the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA).
In addition to leading key regulatory compliance assignments, Narasimha serves as an Authorised Individual, fulfilling roles such as Compliance Officer, Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), and Risk Officer for financial services firms regulated by the DFSA and FSRA.
He is the author of Effective Compliance, a book that explores how organisations can create a culture of compliance that enhances business value, supports operational decision-making, and informs strategic planning in the post-financial crisis landscape.
