Mustafa Nooruddin

Mustafa is a seasoned audit and assurance professional with 25 years of diversified experience, including senior roles at leading global firms such as KPMG in the UK and Deloitte in the Middle East. He has worked across major financial centres including London, Dubai and Pakistan, delivering audit, assurance, and financial advisory services to a broad spectrum of entities. His client portfolio spans Bank, insurance companies including life insurance, Investment firms, hedge funds,  retail, and FMCG companies, where he has led the  audits, assessed internal controls, and advised on corporate governance. Currently, serving as a Partner of Audit and Assurance, , Mustafa manages a diverse portfolio that includes  financial institutions, manufacturing enterprises, and hospitality groups.

He is also regularly engaged in technical consultations, particularly in the application and interpretation of IFRS standards including IFRS 9 (Financial Instruments), IFRS 10 (Consolidated Financial Statements), and IFRS 13 (Fair Value Measurement).

Experience

Mustafa also brings strong commercial acumen, with experience in financial modelling, project evaluation, budgeting, company formation, and investment analysis including IRR, payback period, and sensitivity analysis. Mustafa has hands-on experience of reviewing the regulatory submissions such as  evaluating risk frameworks in context of statutory audits and internal control environments. 

He has experience reviewing and filing regulatory returns such as PIB submissions for a range of licenced financial entities. He maintains strong working relationship with regulators and has practical expertise in interpreting and implementing regulatory frameworks.

Mustafa previously served as the outsourced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of an investment bank for five years, where he was responsible for overseeing financial strategy, regulatory compliance, and board-level reporting. He is also an active member of the firm’s Quality Committee, which reports directly to the Board. In this role, he contributes to the oversight and continuous improvement of audit quality across the practice.
