Amjad Rabani is a seasoned audit leader and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) with over a decade of experience specializing in complex audits for banking and financial services institutions, as well as regulated entities across the Middle East and UK. He has a proven track record of delivering high-quality audits under International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

His career includes substantial experience at KPMG London, where he led audits of global banking groups and contributed to technical accounting and regulatory initiatives. Amjad is recognized for combining technical rigor with regulatory insight and strategic leadership that drives audit quality and compliance.

Experience

Amjad works extensively across international boundaries, bringing cross-border expertise through collaboration with stakeholders in the UAE, UK, MENAT jurisdictions, as well as North America.

He offers deep knowledge in banking and financial services audits, with a technical focus on IFRS 9 (Financial Instruments) - a standard central to the lending process. His experience includes evaluating expected credit loss models, provisioning methodologies, and governance frameworks that underpin credit risk management and capital adequacy for global banking institutions. His IFRS expertise extends beyond financial instruments to include complex areas such as share-based payments, fair value considerations, and classification challenges, addressing the evolving demands of financial reporting for regulated entities.

Amjad specializes in payments and settlements across corporate, retail, and fintech ecosystems.
